There are some humans in my life that I just can’t believe my luck that I met, let alone work with and for.

I am at base, grateful for the serendipitous series of events that lead me to connect with Anthony Burrill (AB) - and, what unfolded with creative opportunities since that meeting has resulted in series of images that celebrate his endless talents, and that I am incredibly proud to showcase.

As well as previewing my portfolio of work below, I encourage you to take in some of AB’s latest works - mural installs, publications, fundraising - it’s all so pleasing.

During my time as Global Marketing Manager for Ozone Coffee Roasters, I worked with a team of internal editors and graphic designers to create a bi-annual printed publication about coffee, people, business (and everything in-between).

After meeting Anthony at a Creative Mornings London breakfast lecture, there was not a second of doubt about wanting to include him in a piece surrounding the discourse of how print is not dead. Lucky for me (and Ozone), he politely obliged and I eagerly dove onto managing the interview and accompanying photography that would feature in the release “Regeneration”.

‘Look & See’ is a printed tour around Anthony Burrill’s personal collection of printed matter, lovingly gathered and curated throughout his career. It is also the result of a successful kickstarter campaign lead by co-founder and publisher, Darren Wall (for Thames & Hudson).

As way to support the success of the crowd funding campaign, I was commissioned to return to AB’s studio and photograph what I can only describe as a collection of pure gold: Ephemera galore. I was in pure heaven.

What he sais…

Bianca and I first met through Ozone coffee. I was speaking at a ‘Creative Mornings’ event in London and Ozone were providing the caffeine to wake everybody up. After that first meeting Bianca invited me to be featured in Ozone’s journal. The feature was to show my life and work, my rural studio and daily routine. Bianca shot the photos for the article beautifully. She captured the atmosphere in my studio with her keen observational eye and responded to the graphic nature of my work and studio environment. We got on famously and we later collaborated on a series of photographs to help launch a crowdfunding campaign I developed with publishers Thames & Hudson. The campaign was for ‘Look And See’ which explored my collection of found graphic ephemera. Bianca and I spent a happy day unboxing long lost treasures from my archive that we photographed in a loose, editorial style. I was very happy with the results and the resulting campaign was successful. Since working together we have kept in touch, I’m a huge fan of Bianca’s instagram posts, especially when they highlight our shared love for brightly coloured saloon cars from the 1970s.
